Stacie did an amazing job of creating a look that was elegant and flawless, while adding a touch of drama with that smokey eye that we all have come to love in boudoir photos. A few days ago, I had a weekend open up on my calendar and I thought it would be a great time to sneak a Boudoir Day in before Valentine’s Day!
Boudoir Days are select days of the year when we offer our services at a beautiful upscale hotel at a special rate. Here’s the details:
When is it? Saturday, January 21st, 2012
Where will the sessions be held? At an upscale hotel in the Columbus area. For privacy purposes, the exact location is only given to serious inquiries.
How much is it? $200
What’s included in the fee? You’ll receive professional makeup from our on-site makeup artist, a 20 minute personalized shoot, a password protected online proofing gallery, and a $25 print credit to be used toward the purchase of any of our a la carte options!
How do I reserve my spot? Visit our contact page or contact me directly at ss@shannonsano.com or 614.937.0393 to let me know you are interested. There is a $100 deposit to hold your spot. Space is limited and sessions will be given to the first 6 people who book.
Will I get my prints before Valentine’s Day? This is entirely dependent upon how quickly you place your order. For all prints, you must place your final order by Feb 1st. For other product orders, including our Look Books or canvas wraps, your order must be placed no later than Jan 26th.

Just a few of my favorites from a super fun boudoir session that took place during our fall Boudoir Days event…
Back in the fall of last year, I received a call from 10tv News, asking if they could do a feature segment on my boudoir photography and what the experience is like for women. I can’t even remember exactly what I said in response; I was so excited! I imagine my jaw dropped and I probably struggled for words, and eventually muttered something to the effect of “Uh…I’d be happy to do a feature…absolutely!…wow…that’s awesome!”
Once we decided it would be a full blown Pin-up Party that would be covered, my task of pulling it all together began. As I soon found out, with this being a personal and rather private type of session, it’s quite difficult to find a group of ladies willing to be shown on the news in their “bare essentials!” So, a huge thank you is in order to Andrea and her friends for braving it out and allowing me to do the less-than-private party with them! And a GINORMOUS thank you to the talented ladies at Studio Fovero for providing the chic location and the makeup and hairstyling for all our girls!
Ok, so once the plans were in order, the next thing on my mind was…Oh geez, I hate being on camera! An interview? What did I get myself into?!! “Don’t over-think it. You’ll do fine,” my friends told me. Easier said than done! I was a complete ball of nerves! Seriously. It was more anxiety than any meditative yoga class could handle. I eventually came to terms with the fact that I will never enjoy watching myself talk, and I will never ever ever like hearing the sound of my own voice…and I’m ok with that. On the night of the party, the Studio Fovero team were total rockstars…I mean seriously fun people with insane talent! It was a blast!

Most of the time, the women I work with feel very insecure, nervous, and stiff at the start of their shoot. It takes a few minutes before I see them start to relax and realize, hey this isn’t so bad, it’s actually kind of fun! With Andi, I was working with a confident, self accepting woman right from the start. She had a vision and she was ready to work it! For her boudoir mini session, she decided to do a “Desperate Housewives” look. A glamorous updo, black satin robe, pearls. …all topped with a willingness to act the diva role! During her session, we achieved a confident, sexy, and upscale look, and had a blast doing it. Here’s a sneak peek at her mini boudoir session:

Each of our sessions is unique and personalized, as all our private shoots are done in the comfort of your own home. Miss Carol is one of my clients who decided to book her session during our Boudoir Days event last week to take advantage of the chic hotel location and special savings. She came with a friend, and was super fun to photograph! I know her husband will be thrilled to receive these photos for his Christmas gift this year. Carol looks so stunning, I didn’t even apply any airbrushing to her photos! Here’s a sneak preview of her boudoir session…

For $200, you’ll receive a 30 minute personalized session at a fabulous downtown Columbus hotel suite, on-site professional makeup from one of our amazing makeup artists, light appetizers & wine, a password protected online gallery of your images, and $25 print/product credit to be used toward the purchase of any of our a la carte options! We already have a few sessions reserved, but we have several time slots still available. There is a $100 deposit to hold your session, so if you’re interested, please contact me for additional information.
